$2,000 to Win 410 Winged Sprint Cars This Saturday

Marysville, CA (April 21, 2015) – For the first time in 2015, the excitement of 410 winged sprint car racing is set to invade Marysville Raceway this Saturday night. Marysville Raceway traditionally hosts 360 winged sprint cars. Yet, this Saturday, the fans will get a dose of in your face, loud and aggressive 410 sprint cars. “This is something that we wanted to bring back to Marysville,” said promoter Dennis Gage. “There is nothing like the uniqueness of the 410 sprint cars and the power and speed they display on the track is awesome. We felt there was a need in this area to offer more 410 sprint car racing and hopefully the fans come out to support the race.”

The pit gate will open at 3 P.M. while the front grandstand gate will open at 5 P.M. Qualifying for the winged sprint cars will begin at 6 P.M. with racing to follow. General grandstand admission to this event is $12.00 for adults, $9.00 for juniors and seniors, military or disabled. Children, ages 6 to 11, are $6.00. Five and under are free. Family pass is $30.00 and includes 2 adult tickets and or 2 junior or 3 children tickets.

Joining the 410 winged sprint cars for point race #3 will include the Dwarf Cars, Economy Sprints, Hobby Stocks and Sport Mods.

With the bigger motor comes a bigger payday. The winner of the sprint car main event will earn a handsome $2,000, up from a normal Saturday night 360 win. Even though this is a 410 sprint car race, local 360 drivers are expected to compete also. “A 360 sprint car team could steal the win this Saturday night,” said Gage.

Last Friday night, Roseville’s Colby Copeland won the 410 sprint car main event at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. Copeland drives the Kyle Larson Racing/VSR backed #5v. “Colby and his team were one of the first drivers to see the value in this weekend,” said Gage. Copeland will run Friday night at Chico and then race the following night in Marysville. Chico’s Jonathan Allard and the 2014 Gold Cup Champion is another driver doing double duty between Chico and Marysville. Other 410 sprint car drivers that have expressed interest in running Marysville on Saturday night include Mason Moore, Rico Abreu and Andy Forsberg.
