Championship Racing Starts This Saturday Night
by Troy Hennig

Marysville, CA (March 13, 2017) –
After a three-week hiatus the sounds of loud and aggressive race cars will return to the Marysville Raceway this Saturday night, March 18th. A five-division show is on tap led by the 360 winged sprints, wingless sprints, hobby stocks, super stocks and IMCA Sport Mods.

The pit gate will open at 3 PM while the front grandstand gate opens at 5 PM. Starting this Saturday, the pit meeting is being moved from 5:30 PM to 5 PM in hopes of getting the competitors on the track earlier for wheel packing and hot laps.

Adult general admission is $13.00 into the grandstands. Seniors, juniors and Military with ID are just $10.00 each. Kids, six to eleven years old, are $6.00. Children five and under are FREE. A family pass is available and consists of 2 adult tickets, 2 junior tickets or 3 kid’s tickets for a combined price of $40.00.

Opening night for any race track is always special. For many of the competitors, this weekend is the start of six-month grind in a quest to be great. To win a track championship take great driver, good equipment, a good team and at times a little racing luck. As fans, we can root on our favorites and encourage those drivers to end up in victory lane at the end of the night. With the right mechanical set-up and a strong-willed driver, the possibilities are endless for a successful 2017-point championship season at Marysville. That pursuit of greatness starts this Saturday night.
