Fans Allowed at Marysville Raceway

(Marysville, CA 6/19/20) The long awaited return of race fans to live California Auto Racing begins at
Marysville Raceway next Wednesday night June 24th. 100 early arrivals will be allowed into the
Raceway grandstand and sales will be stopped.

“Not quite what we had hoped for” explained track manager Dennis Gage. “Yuba County took
the time and made the effort to assist in the reopening of the raceway and we will follow their
guidelines”, he continued. “We are hopeful that this is just temporary number and will lead to
a more realistic attendance, Gage said. “We are very aware of the need for families to
begin a transition back to normalcy, and this just one small part of that.”, he concluded.

The departure from the normal Saturday night program was forced by the need for financial
support from television. So, with TV paying some of the bills the track moved to a Wednesday
night since the pay per view audience is lacking options mid-week. When a reasonable fan
base allowed the track will return to Saturday nights.

Sprint cars, Limited Late Models, and Hobby Stocks will compete on the ¼ mile clay oval located
At 1468 Simpson Lane in Marysville. With a warm forecast, racing won’t start until 7 PM.

Timed qualifying will be held for the Sprint cars and all divisions will compete in heat races and
Main events. The remaining race fans who aren’t among the 100 allowed will be able to watch
action for about the same price as admission on SpeedshiftTV. com. Subscriptions are not
required. A person can just select the June 24 Marysville event.

With the warm temperatures forecast the competitor pit gate will open at the normal 3 pm
But the grandstands will not open until 6 and most likely be closed by 6:30. No in and out
privileges will be allowed as the gates will be closed to all but exiting spectators. Social distancing will be
required and fans should have a face mask. Adult tickets are $17, Junior and Senior $14 and kids $6.
