Happy Holidays

(Marysville CA 12/28/2020) For more than 50 years Marysville Raceway has provided a motorsports venue for the Yuba Sutter area.  That tradition will continue with a new driver development and product test program at the Raceway.

“We had a very limited 2020 race year with the Covid issues and related regulations” explained track manager Dennis Gage.  “We’ve regrouped and found a new purpose after the 2020 limits.” He continued.  “These race teams need a place to test their products and hone driver skills and we have the perfect setting for that here in Marysville,” Gage concluded.

While the 2021 race schedule is being working on the Speedway has geared up for a high level of testing and driver fitness.  Racers are finely tuned athletes who need constant training and workouts.  The ¼ clay track located just on Simpson Lane in Marysville offers the foundation for that training.

Daily track rentals are open, but a new 3-hour program has also been introduced to give more teams the chance to get some track time.  Long time NASCAR teams like Joe Gibbs racing, Chip Ganassi and Richard Childress have long supported driver development programs to further the sport and give competitors both the mental and physical skill needed for competition.

The Raceway has also been the site for concerts, media days, celebrations, and charity events.  Full support services including management, entertainment, food, and drink.  Equipment is available as well for track preparation and other key operations.

Some limits apply for current events including mask and distancing requirements.  Currently events limit the number of participants and no spectators are allowed.  These guidelines can change rapidly.

A kick-off test and drive day is planned for this Friday Jan 1.  No spectators are allowed, and it is an outdoor recreational event for participants only.  All participants must wear a mask, and practice basic virus protection.  The grandstand will be closed along with no food services.  The competitor gate will open at 11 am and the track will be open from noon to 4 pm.  A fee of $30 will be charged for anyone entering the competitor area and they must comply with these guidelines.
