Once again promoter Dennis Gage is putting up big bucks in trying to attract 410 winged sprint cars. He is offering $2,000 to win and $200 to start the 25-lap main event. There is also a top four 360 sprint car bonus. The highest finishing 360 driver will earn a total of $450.00. “When we took over Marysville during the off season, one thing we wanted to try was building up a solid 410 sprint car base between Chico and here,” said Gage.

The wingless sprints return after having the previous five weeks off. After two previous events Brown Valley’s Misty Castleberry leads defending champion Tim Sherman Jr. by just one point. Grass Valley’s Bret Youngman sits in third and is only four points back of Castleberry. Josh Vieira and Aaron Gustin round out the top five. Sherman and Johnny Burns each have one main event win during the point season.

Howard Law leads the IMCA sport mods division into their third night of point races this Saturday. Law holds a commanding 11-point edge over Kyle Cheney. What is really great about this upstart division is the parity between the drivers. Second through seventh are separated by a mere seven points. That is a testament to the division and the drivers involved.

The winged economy sprints and Dwarf cars are also on the night’s docket of racing. The Dwarf cars are one of the best traveling organizations around. They offer close knit racing and cool looking cars. The winged economy sprints have become popular again. The division was developed at Silver Dollar Speedway roughly four years ago and continues to evolve into a great entry level division.
