Lucrative IMCA Northern Sport Mod Pepsi Peach Tree Nationals

Marysville, CA (Sept 9, 2019) – For the last two years, IMCA Sport Mod drivers have clamored for a high paying, local show that showcases this division. Well the message was received loud and clear. Marysville race track promoter Dennis Gage is hosting the first, of what we hope to be an annual event, IMCA Northern Sport Mod Pepsi Peach Tree Nationals. Friday night, September 13th main event winner will receive $749.00. The Saturday night winner will take home a staggering $1,249.00. These inflated win totals are sure to attract a large field of cars this weekend at Marysville Raceway.
Both nights, the pit gate will open at 3 PM while the front grandstand gate opens at 5 PM. Race cars on the track at 6 PM.
Adult admission into the grandstands is $13.00. Juniors, seniors and military with ID are just $11.00. Kids 6-11 are $6 and five and under are FREE. A family pass for $40 gets two adults and two juniors or three kids 11 and under into the grandstands. As always, parking is FREE.
On Friday night, Hobby Stocks will join the IMCA Sport Mods. It will be the Hobby Stocks final point race of the year. Jesse Van Roekel holds a slim one-point edge over Devin Ryan for the championship. Mike Stoeckle holds down the third spot. Shannon Collins is fourth. Jose Hernandez rounds out the top five.
On Saturday night, the Crate Sprints will join the IMCA Mods. The Crate Sprint championship will also be decided on Saturday. Brett Youngman holds a 16-point edge over Kiely Ricardo. Cameron Haney Jr. is in third. Nick Larson is fourth. Mike Ballantine is fifth.
Saturday night, September 14th, is also a point race for the IMCA Sport Mods. Todd Copper has five wins in ten starts and holds a 48-point edge over Scott Savell. Jim Waller runs in the third spot. Mike Merritt is fourth and Andrew Peckham is fifth. Peckham has three wins this season.
Other top drivers scheduled to compete in the first IMCA Northern Sport Mod Pepsi Peach Tree Nationals are Brian Cooper, Jimmy Ford, Phillip Shelby and Guy Ahlwardt. A plethora of out of towners should also be competing.
