MARYSVILLE, CA – (February 13, 2018) … The fastest growing winged sprint car series in America is coming to Marysville Raceway in 2018. The RaceSaver Sprint Cars are scheduled to compete eight different nights at Marysville Raceway. The West Coast version of the series has mainly been a Central California option, but this season promoter Dennis Gage is bringing the division to Northern California. “With the success this class has shown nationally and locally down south I felt it was a terrific opportunity to bring them to Marysville this season,” said Gage.

The first scheduled race for the IMCA RaceSaver Sprints will kick off with the annual running of the Sherm and Loree Toller Memorial on February 24th. This affordable winged sprint car class will also compete on March 10th and March 24th. Other dates include May 19th, May 26th, July 28th and August 11th. On October 27th the Race Saver Series will join the Gold Fever H & H Trench Sprint Spooktacular.

Gage is working with Scott Woodhouse, Western RaceSaver Wing Sprint Series D.O.C, who has successfully grown this class down in the Hanford and Tulare area. “This is a great division because of its affordability to race a winged sprint car,” said Woodhouse. “Plus, we run for local and National IMCA points. This past season we had the National IMCA rookie of the year in our series.” Woodhouse also see’s this class as a good transition from Micro Sprints or even Outlaw Karts.

For the most information about this winged sprint car series Woodhouse recommends going to www.racesaver.com/. Right on the front page it says in bold letters “World’s Most Affordable Sprint Series” and concludes by adding “Big Wings, Big Excitement.”
