Racing Continues This Saturday Night

(Marysville, CA) 5/18/2016…Saturday night point championship auto racing continues with five divisions geared to hit the track. Point race #6 will feature winged 360 sprint cars, IMCA Sport Mods, street stocks, Pro 4 Sprints and Vintage Hardtops. 

Adult general admission is $13.00. Senior and junior pricing along with military with I.D. is $10.00. Children just $6.00 and kids five and under are always free. As usual, there is FREE PARKING for every Saturday night event. Front grandstand gate opens at 5 PM. Pit gate for the competitors opens at 3 PM. Racing is scheduled to start at 6:30 PM.

This Saturday, May 21st, will mark the fifth point race of the season for the winged 360 sprints. Jeremy Burt is the current point leader by way of two consecutive second place finishes. He holds a 16-point edge over Cody Lamar. Courtney Dozier is 20-points back of Burt but only four points shy of Lamar. Brad Bumgarner and Mike Monahan are only separated by one point while battling for fourth and fifth.

Brain Cooper holds an eight-point edge over Jerry Bartlett in the IMCA Sport Mods championship. Todd Cooper is fresh off a win and sits third. The Merritt boys, Mike and Damian round of the top five. 
Street stocks are scheduled to make their first appearance of the year at Marysville.
The Pro 4 Sprints continue to be a mainstay at the raceway and are led by Tim MacLaughlin and Matt Beardslee.

Vintage Hardtops are set to make their first appearance of the year.
