Wednesday Night Mayhem

(Marysville, CA 8/10/20)…After a week off the stars and cars of Marysville Raceway resume their Championship battles this Wednesday, August 12th.  Four divisions will hit the track led by the popular winged 360 sprint cars, IMCA Sport Mods, Crate Sprints and Hobby Stocks.

Once again, the Raceway has been given permission to allow the first 100 fans into the main grandstands on this night.  The front gate will open at 6 PM.  Once the 100-person quota has been filled, the Raceway will stop allowing more fans in.

For those fans not able to attend but still want to support the track, please visit www.floracing.com and purchase a subscription to their website.  All Marysville Raceway events are broadcast live on Flo Racing.

This Wednesday, both Silver Dollar Speedway and Marysville Raceway t-shirts will be for sale.

Pit gate for the competitors will open at the normal time, 3 PM.  The grandstands will not open until 6 and most likely be closed by 6:30. No in and out privileges will be allowed as the gates will be closed to all but exiting spectators.  Social distancing will be required, and fans should have a face mask.  Adult tickets are $17, Junior and Senior $14 and kids $6.

The Hobby Stock championship is on the line this Wednesday night.  Jesse Van Roekel narrowly leads Jim Brookshire by just three-points.  Zach Lindgren holds down the third spot.  David Caluya is fourth.  Jacob Johnson rounds out the top five.

Andy Forsberg leads the winged sprint car series.  Forsberg holds a 39-point edge over Michael Ing.  Blake Carrick sits third.  Alec Justeson rides fourth and Brad Bumgarner sits fifth.

Brett Youngman has a seven-point lead over David Sims in the Crate Sprints.  Mike Ballantine sits in the third.

IMCA Sport mods are back at it on Wednesday.  Mathematically, seven drivers still have a chance to win the points title.  Jimmy Ford holds a two-point edge over Timothy Allerdings.  Jason Ferguson is only seven-points back in third.  Mike Merritt and Scott Savell round out the top five.
