Crate Sprints Ready to Shine This Sunday

Crate Sprint Cars Ready to Shine on Sunday Night
MARYSVILLE, Calif., May 21, 2025…The popular Crate Sprint Car division is set to showcase their skills this Sunday, May 25th, at the action track of the West, the Marysville Raceway. This will be a pivotal championship point show for this division. Joining the Crate Sprints on Sunday will be the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour. Both divisions will race in honor of the “Mel & Marlyn Hall Memorial.”
Jacob Johnson and Caleb Ingle are tied for the point lead. Each driver has 183 total points. Chasing them are Matthew Kaiser, 172 points, David Derr Jr., 153 points, and Jason Ballantine, 152 points. At this point in the season, a total of 20 different drivers have earned championship track points.
Coming into the race this Sunday, there have been five previous Crate Sprint events. Jacob Johnson and Caleb Ingle lead the way with two feature wins apiece. Ingle won the season opener tribute to the Toller family and backed that up with a win on March 8th. Johnson picked up his wins on March 15th and May 3rd. Matthew Kaiser scored the win on April 5th.

Adult tickets at Marysville Raceway this Sunday May 25th cost $24; while juniors 12-15, seniors 62+ and military are $20; kids 6-11 cost $10 and those five and under will be free. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or via https://www.eventsprout.com/event/marysville-raceway-2025
The pit gate will open at 3pm, with the front grandstand gate opening at 5pm.
The Marysville Raceway is in Marysville, California. From the Junction of HWY 70 and HWY 20 (12th Street), go a quarter mile east on HWY 20. Turn south onto Ramirez Road for 1.5 miles. The physical address is 1468 Simpson Ln, Marysville, CA 95901.
