Freedom and Fireworks at Marysville Raceway July 3rd
MARYSVILLE, Calif., June 29, 2025… Marysville Raceway and its staff are honored to announce that they will be hosting the largest fireworks display in the area, accompanied by championship auto racing, on Thursday night, July 3rd. Gage Promotions is offering kids 11 and under FREE into the grandstands when accompanied by a parent.
This family-friendly event, featuring a spectacular combination of bright lights and fast cars, will take place at the renowned Marysville Raceway. Bring the entire family out to celebrate fast cars, fireworks and America’s Independence. The evening's racing program will include popular categories such as winged Sprint Cars, Hobby Stocks, and Sport Mods.
The pit gate is slated to open at 3pm for the competitors. The front grandstand gate will open at 5pm. Adult general admission is $20 (ages 16-61), Juniors and Seniors $17 (ages 12-15 / 62+). Military with ID card is $17. Kids 11 and under are FREE! Parking is also FREE for grandstand attendees. Hot laps will begin at 6pm. Racing is slated to begin at 7pm.
Tickets into the grandstands can be purchased at https://www.eventsprout.com/event/marysville-raceway-2025 or can be bought at the front ticket box office at 5pm.
Something new is also scheduled to take place in the parking lot of Marysville Raceway. On July 3rd, a hot air balloon company called Aerostatic will be on hand and offering $20 per person rides. Two people at a time will go up and get a scenic view from the sky. The rides are available between the hours of 5pm to 7pm. To learn more, visit their website www.aerostatic.io or email to info@aerostatic.io.
A full field of winged 360 sprint cars are expected to compete this Thursday night. The division is led by point leader Billy Wallace. Yet, Nick Larsen has closed to within 10 points of Wallace and seems to be poised to try and win his first track title. The outsider Andy Forsberg is making the trip to Marysville this Thursday. The 2021 track champion has won two races in limited starts this season at his favorite track on the West Coast. Many more stars will be on hand.
Kyle Cheney continues to lead the way with three wins this season at Marysville Raceway. Cheney, the defending Hobby Stock champion, will look to win his fourth main event of the season. Challenging him for the top spot is Jason Clayton, winner back in March, and second in the point standings. Toby Merrifield won a race on March 22nd and comes into this Thursday night race sitting in the third spot. Fourth place driver Ryan Smith and fifth in points Willy King are only separated by three-points.
The IMCA Sport Mods continue their charge towards a champion this Thursday night. Just two points separate drivers Mark Garner and Jimmy Ford at the top of the division. Shaun Merritt and Mike Merritt are locked into a close battle for third. Tyler Rodgers rounds out the top five. The top three drivers have all visited victory lane this season.
