Forsberg Wins 4th Toller Memorial

MARYSVILLE, Calif., February 21, 2026…Auburn’s Andy Forsberg returned to victory lane Saturday night at the Marysville Raceway. Forsberg had to work hard for the money. Jake Haulot started next to Forsberg on the front row and took the early lead. Haulot went on to lead the next 20 laps until the handling of his car seemed to go astray. This allowed Forsberg to swap spots with Haulot and take the lead. Haulot then was unable to hold off on a charging Dylan Bloomfield for second. Bloomfield passed Haulot and quickly caught the back side of Forsberg. The final lap was an all-out dual between Forsberg and Bloomfield. In the end, Forsberg narrowly held off Bloomfield to pick up his fourth career Sherm and Loree Toller Memorial.

It was a special night for all involved on the beautiful looking Pacific Highway Rentals No. 92. Tonight’s triumph gave veteran crew chief and team leader Brian Cannon his 92nd career win. Forsberg and Cannon are committed to getting Cannon his 100th win sometime during this upcoming season.

Haulot earned the fastest lap in qualifying by turning an 11.779 second circle. Bloomfield won the first eight lap heat race. Dryver Dothage won the second and final heat race.

The Crate Sprint main event was spectacular. These drivers gave the fans an early season treat. On lap four the race slowed after three cars piled up in turn two. Involved were Misty Castleberry, KC Carpenter and Jason Ballantine. We mention these three because at the finish, all three would wind up first, second, and third. Up front it was Kalob Maher leading the field. Maher led up until lap 15. On that lap, Luke Sprenkle, who was making his debut behind the wheel of a Crate Sprint, spun in turn four. Sprenkle was spectacular up to that point as he ran in the second spot of the main event until the spin. On the restart, Maher’s car didn’t take off properly. Castleberry was back in the second spot and took advantage of Maher’s issue and became the new leader. On the final two laps, Carpenter raced into the second spot and began to hound Castleberry. On the final lap, Carpenter took the lead while coming off turn two. He stayed wide through turn three and four. This allowed Castleberry to use the bottom groove, and she used it to perfection. She beat Carpenter back to the finish line. It was a photo finish.

Carpenter won the first eight lap heat race. Jacob Johnson grabbed the win during the second and final heat.

Josh Young was the dominant driver during the 25-lap Joe Hunt Wingless Magnetos Sprint Tour. Young took the lead on lap six, then weaved his way in and out and around slower cars to pick up the popular win. Young held over a four-second lead at the checkered flag over second place finishing Jacob Tuttle. About another 4-seconds back was Anthony Bruno in third. Tuttle and Young picked up the wins during their 8-lap heat races. Tony Soper out qualified the field by turning a 13.549 second lap time.

Racing resumes this Saturday night as Marysville Raceway hosts Point Race No.1.
