Johnson Leads Crate Sprint Cars into Hall Memorial on Sunday
Marysville, CA — The competitive and exciting Crate Sprint Cars are set to continue their championship point racing this Sunday, May 24th. The Crate Sprints will race in honor of Mel and Marlyn Hall and be accompanied by the Sprint Car Challenge Tour (SCCT). The bottom line is this, if you like open wheel sprint cars then this will be the show you can’t miss.
Jacob Johnson leads the charge for the Crate Sprints. Johnson holds a slim eight-point lead over Misty Castleberry. Currently, Johnson has 233 points with Castleberry at 225. Right behind them is Mike Ballantine. He trails the top two by just 12 points. This season Johnson has one win during the point season while Castleberry leads the way with three wins. Another winner this season is David Derr Jr. who currently holds the fourth spot in the points standings. Rounding out the top five is Kevin Lovell. Kalob Maher is the other driver to pick up a main event win this season. Maher currently holds the eighth spot in the points standings.
The pit gate for competitors is set to open at 3 PM. The front gate opens at 5 PM. Pricing for this Sunday’s show is available at our website www.marysvilleraceway.com. Cars are scheduled to hit the track at 6 PM.
