Marysville, CA (August 30, 2017) – Champions will be crowned after a hard-fought season of racing at Marysville Raceway this Saturday night, September 2nd. Championship point race #15 will feature the winged 360 sprint cars, hobby stocks, wingless sprints, sport mods and dwarf cars. Four track titles will be on the line this Saturday night.

The pit gate will open at 3 PM while the front grandstand gate opens at 5 PM. Adult general admission is $13.00 into the grandstands. Seniors, juniors and Military with ID are just $10.00 each. Kids, six to eleven years old, are $6.00. Children five and under are FREE. A family pass is available and consists of 2 adult tickets, 2 junior tickets or 3 kid’s tickets for a combined price of $40.00.

Marysville’s Jeremy Hawes has a huge 41-point edge over Reno, NV driver Mike Monahan in the winged 360 sprint car division. Hawes is in search of his first career winged 360 driving championship. Tyler Seavey holds down the third spot while Woodland’s Peter Paulson is fourth. Auburn’s Jimmy Steward it fifth.

Cody Spencer leads the wingless point standings by 56-points over Grass Valley’s Brett Youngman. Bruce Morrow is right on Youngman for second. Defending track champ Josh Vieira is fourth.

The hobby stocks championship is as close as it can get. Three drivers separated by just seven points. Mel Byers leads Matt Magenheimer by just four points. Cy Cooper just won Pepsi Night at Chico and is only seven-points back of Byers.

Phillip Shelby leads the IMCA Sport Mods into Marysville Raceway this Saturday night. Shelby has dominated and holds a 66-point edge over Mike Smith. Damian Merritt is 34-points back of Smith.

The popular Dwarf Cars make another return to Marysville. This will be their final test and tune before the popular Dwarf Car Nationals held September 22nd and 23rd.
