Father’s Day Special at Marysville Raceway

Father’s Day Special at Marysville Raceway

Marysville, CA (June 15, 2017) – In keeping with the theme of the Father Day’s weekend Marysville Raceway has decided to give all Dad’s a break on Saturday night. All dad’s in attendance this Saturday night will only pay $9.00 to get it. The five racing divisions on display this Saturday night, June 17th, will include the winged 360 sprints, economy sprints, wingless sprints, pure stocks and midget lites.

The pit gate will open at 3 PM while the front grandstand gate opens at 5 PM. Starting this Saturday, the pit meeting is being moved from 5:30 PM to 5 PM in hopes of getting the competitors on the track earlier for wheel packing and hot laps.

Adult general admission is $13.00 into the grandstands. Once again, all dads only pay $9.00. Seniors, juniors and Military with ID are just $10.00 each. Kids, six to eleven years old, are $6.00. Children five and under are FREE. A family pass is available and consists of 2 adult tickets, 2 junior tickets or 3 kid’s tickets for a combined price of $40.00.

Coming into point race #8, Sutter’s Tyler Seavey is fresh off his first sprint car win at Marysville Raceway and looks to continue to build his momentum into this Saturday night. Jeremey Hawes is still the championship point leader. He holds a 19-point edge over Seavey. Mike Monahan, Peter Paulson and Korey Lovell continue to add a solid veteran presence at Marysville and we are appreciative of their challenging work and dedication. In fact, there are eight full-time sprint car teams that have committed to the previous seven individual point championship races. The other four are Jimmy Steward, Pat Harvey, Heath Hall and Raquel Hall. We are lucky to have such a strong and vast supporting group of drivers.

Adam Ermolenko has been dominant in the winged economy sprint cars. Yet, he only holds a 13-point edge over youngster Cameron Haney Jr. Ermolenko has won the last three main events at Marysville.

The wingless sprint cars will be back at this Saturday night. They are led by Gary Paulson and Cody Spencer. Paul Vandenburg, Bruce Morrow and Thomas Leiby round out the top five.

The Pure Stocks will make a race appearance at the Marysville Raceway this weekend.
The midget lites are set to return to the race track. This weekend we are told more of the cars will show up to attack the quarter-mile oval dirt track. The group is led by Scott Kinney, Emilee Lindgren and Craig Dillard.
