Marysville Winged Ecomony Rundown

May 30, 2016 (Marysville, CA) …Corning’s Nathan Johnson secured his first win in the economy winged sprint car class Saturday night at Marysville Raceway. Johnson held off a challenging Wyatt Brown for the majority of the main event. While only a few cars attended the show, the drivers should be commended for putting on a solid race.

It was good to see the Johnson family in victory lane. They put a lot of effort into their race programs and field multiple cars for different family members. Bob Johnson has always been a big supporter of sprint car racing and his passion and enthusiasm has trickled down to his son and grandchildren.

With the second place finish, Brown will continue on as the point leader. Brown now holds a 94 to 89 point advantage over Johnson. Youngster Kevin Dozier sits in the third spot with 86 total points. The next winged economy point race is scheduled for June 11.
