Wingless Sprints Invade Marysville This Saturday

PRESS RELEASE-FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Hunt Magnetos Wingless Tour on Tap For This Saturday

(Marysville, CA 6/5/23)…This Saturday, June 10th, the Marysville Raceway will host the traveling Hunt Magnetos Wingless Tour along with Crate Sprints, and Hobby Stocks. This Saturday marks the one and only appearance of the Hunt Magnetos Wingless Tour. Fans of non-wing sprint car racing are eagerly anticipating the appearance of this exciting touring series filled with top notch teams and drivers.

A large car count is expected this Saturday night. The Hunt Series will embark on their point race No. 4 at Marysville. The series is led by Nick Robfogel who holds a slim nine-point edge over Brent Steck. Jarrett Soares sits 10 markers back of Steck in the third spot. Shawn Arriaga holds down the fourth spot. Fifth place in points is Jacob Tuttle. He trails Arriaga by just six-points. Arriaga won the opening tour race. Other winners this season include Bradley Terrell and most recently Shane Hopkins. Upwards of 30 competitors should be expected to battle it out at the action track of the West. Back on March 3rd, Steck won the previous wingless sprint car race as part of the Toller Memorial. Steck will be one of the favorites to end up in victory lane this Saturday night.

After taking last week off, the Crate Sprints return for their seventh race of the season. Misty Castleberry continues to be the leader of the division and holds a six-point edge over Carl Droivold. Castleberry leads the way with three main event wins, but Droivold was the most recent winner, and seems to be gaining points each week. Mike Ballantine sits in the third spot. He has earned three top five finishes in six previous starts. Cameron Haney Jr. is nipping at Ballantine’s heals and is only six-points back. Matthew Kaiser has a lone victory and rounds out the top five in points.

There is a new sheriff in town and his name is Howard Law. Now with three main event wins, Law has emerged as the new points leader of the Hobby Stocks. He is currently four-points in front of Zach Lindgren. Only nine-points back is Kyle Cheney. Currently, this championship battle will come down to one of these three. Sebastian Davis has moved into the fourth spot. He is 18-points in front of Joe Gillock. While Law, Lindgren, and Cheney might sound like a lawyer firm, one of these will get the justice they deserve and carry that momentum to a track title.

Pit gate opens at 3:00 pm. Front gate 5 pm. Cars on track 5 pm. Prices for all regular season events will be $17.00 for adults, $15.00 for seniors/juniors and military with proper identification. $8 for kids ages 6-11. Children 5 and under are FREE.
