March Madness Kicks off This Saturday Night

MARYSVILLE, Calif., March 10, 2026…March is packed with madness this season at the action track of the West, Marysville Raceway. This Saturday, March 14th, kicks off three consecutive March races featuring the best drivers in Northern California. “Without a doubt we feel like the talent we have cultivated over the past few years will show up big time this year at Marysville,” said Dennis Gage the track promoter.

Speaking of talent, Auburn’s Andy Forsberg returns this Saturday to finish what he started two weeks prior. Forsberg led the winged 360 sprint car main event until contact with multiple cars ended his chance for the win. “That one still stings,” said Forsberg. “I really enjoy myself at Marysville Raceway and am looking forward to competing with a solid group of drivers that I feel are as good as any weekly show in our area.” Paradise youngster Jayden Bunch picked up the win two weeks ago. He currently sits second in points behind Cotati’s Jake Haulot. Josh Young and defending track champion Billy Wallace are all in the top five.

The Crate Sprints are also filled with plenty of talented drivers. Currently, Misty Castleberry and Kalob Maher are tied at the top with 47 total points. Chasing them are Mike Ballantine, Jacob Johnson, and KC Carpenter. The top ten in points are only separated by 10 points. “I feel this year will be the most unpredictable championship the Crate Sprints have ever had,” said Gage. “You look at the intensity of this division, and any one of the drivers from top to bottom can show up and win on any given Saturday night.”

The IMCA Sport Mods charge into their second point race of the year. Dan Brown Jr. opened the season by winning the 20-lap feature two weeks ago. He holds a one-point edge over Shannon Barton. Brown Jr. is no stranger to this raceway as he won multiple Limited Late Model track titles in years past. “Having Dan Brown Jr. back really raised the bar this season for the IMCA Sport Mods,” said Gage.

We are always looking forward to hosting the Nor Cal Dwarf Car series. Fresh off their two-night stint in Chico, these talented and competitive drivers are set to get it on at the Marysville Raceway. “We have had a long and fruitful relationship with the Dwarf Cars,” said Gage. “These drivers put on some of the best racing we offer, and they always seem to be a crowd favorite.”
